5 Amazing New Tents You Can Buy for Less Than $100

Camping does not necessarily mean you need to buy expensive stuff. Especially when you’re still trying to wet your feet with the activity, it’s mostly better to start with some cheap basic gear and go through short overnight hikes and see how well you and your gear fare with the challenges.

One of the most basic things you need to consider when planning a camping trip would be a tent. That is why for today, we’ll be showing you 5 amazing new tents that are relatively cheap compared to other high-end , more well-known tent manufacturers. Our target for these products should be less than $100 on their current sale price. Some of these tents may be just under a sale for now and might increase in prices soon.

Now, while we say that these tents are cheap, it does not necessarily mean that they won’t last you a long time. Gear quality is very important when you’re outdoors and should never be compromised even if you’re shooting for a very low price for your stuff.

With that said, let’s get on with the list.

Columbia Sportswear Pinewood 4 Person Dome Tent

Columbia Sportswear™ Pinewood 4-Person Dome Tent

While I said that we are tackling mostly non-well-known manufacturers, this tent from Columbia is just too good to pass up. Currently selling at $99, this tent barely meets our criteria and passes the quality meter with flying colors.

As the name implies, the tent can fit 4 people inside. It has excellent ventilation making this tent comfortable during any season. The rain fly is high quality as well, keeping you dry even through the hardest of rains.

Slumberjack Trail Tent 2

This 2-person tent currently sells for $82.23 and is one of the sturdier, cheap tents that we can find. Free-standing and easy to set up, this tent is just perfect for the occasional camper. Most of the wall panels are made of mesh, thus providing excellent ventilation during warmer seasons.

At about 7 pounds, the tent is obviously not lightweight, but still manageable to carry. Most of that weight would come from the poles anyway, so if you’re camping with someone, you can freely distribute the poles for convenience.

Mountaintop Waterproof 3 Season Tent

Water-proof and moisture-proof, this tent lives up to its name. Currently selling at $99.99, the tent is just beautiful to look at after setting up. And speaking of setting up, this tent can be assembled in seconds and very easy to take down, eliminating more hassle to your already-strenuous hike.

Geertop 4-season 2-person Waterproof Dome Backpacking Tent

Okay, so this one’s a bit of a cheat since this tent costs $103.99 by the time of this writing. Although it’s $4 more than our promised budget, we still think that it’s worth the buy mainly due to its durability and versatility of use. It’s a pretty decent starter tent. Although the use may be limited only for normal day hikes ranging from hot to chilly. But for very cold activities, you may want to look for something better.

ANGIX 2 Person Lightweight Backpacking Tent

By the time of this writing, this tent is currently priced at $96.99. Now, that’s a steal considering that this tent will serve you for a long time. The tent is completely waterproof down to its flooring. And comparing to the tents we mentioned so far, this one is pretty lightweight at about 4.5 pounds only.
